Camera Angles

Low Shot - shows power, size and dominance of the subject
Eye-Level - makes the scene seem more realistic as it is the viewer's perspective
High Shot - makes the subject in focus seem insignificant/vulnerable
Bird's Eye - allows the viewer to see a wider perspective
Canted - the slanting of the camera angle creates a dramatic effect and disorientation




Angle of Shot: the direction and height of where the camera is filming the scene
Viewpoint: the distance and angle that the camera views the subject
Point of View shot (POV): shows what the subject sees and what is in their line of sight
Two-Shot: a shot of two people together
Selective Focus: camera focuses on different aspects to create depth
Rack Focus: a shift of focus from background to/from foreground
Soft Focus: the sharpness of an image is reduced by the use of an optical device
