ELS - Extreme Long Shot
- A horizon shot/ infinity shot/ establishing shot
- Usually shows landscapes or cityscapes
- Can show a small figure in relation to its larger surroundings
- Whole figure closer to camera than ELS
- Shows the character in relation to surroundings
- Sometimes used as an establishing shot
- Character is detailed more but can still see whole character
- Setting still visible
- Shows character knees/waiste up
- Show character from chest up to the top of their head
- Character is more detailed
- Typically used when two people have a conversation/shot reverse shot
- Very detailed image of the character
- Shows character from shoulders up
- Best used to show character's emotions
- Focuses on a small part of an object/character
- Used to show extreme emotion on faces (particularly by focusing on the eyes)
